Sr. Manager / Director, Growth Product & CRO
About the job
Lantern is looking for an Senior Manager / Director of Growth Product & CRO to build and lead our experimentation and conversion rate optimization practice across landing pages, sign-up flows, and full-funnel growth experiences for high-growth DTC health clients. You will own the critical bridge between paid traffic and revenue, designing and running experiments that improve conversion rates, CAC, and LTV across web and mobile experiences – while building the systems, internal resources, and toolkits to help up-level and enable other team members responsible for CRO to do their best work.
You will sit at the intersection of growth, product, and analytics, partnering closely with paid media, creative, and client leadership to turn insights into high-impact tests and scalable growth systems. You’ll work directly with founder/CEO and growth leader stakeholders at leading DTC health startups, helping them shape their acquisition funnels, build experimentation roadmaps, and optimize the full journey from first click through acquisition.
This role is ideal for a performance-minded growth leader who has owned CRO and experimentation in high-velocity environments and now wants to build a practice, playbooks, and team inside the country’s leading full-funnel growth agency for DTC health startups.
- Own the end-to-end CRO and growth product experimentation strategy for a portfolio of DTC health clients, from hypothesis development through test design, briefing, development, rollout & analysis.
- Build and maintain structured testing roadmaps across landing pages, sign-up flows, pricing/plan structures, offers, and in-product/on-site experiences, with clear prioritization frameworks tied to business impact.
- Develop and refine high-converting landing page and funnel architectures and templates, including messaging, page hierarchy, content modules, CTAs, and form flows, in partnership with paid media, creative, and client teams.
- Partner with paid social and search leads to ensure tight feedback loops between traffic quality and on-site performance, optimizing toward CAC, ROAS, and LTV targets across channels.
- Write experiment briefs and copy, and work closely with designers and developers to translate hypotheses into testable experiences, ensuring implementation quality and speed across A/B tests and multivariate experiments.
- Define and implement measurement frameworks, including primary KPIs, guardrail metrics, and experiment success criteria; steward a clear experimentation culture with strong statistical rigor.
- Leverage analytics, heatmaps, session recordings, user research, and competitive analysis to identify friction points and generate new test ideas across the funnel.
- Act as Growth Product / CRO PM, leading sprint standup meetings with design, analytics and development partners to ensure CRO experiments are ticketed, well-defined and prioritized based on client need/impact, urgency and team capacity.
- Build and standardize Lantern's CRO playbooks, experimentation templates, reporting formats, and libraries of proven experiments to scale learnings across clients and team members responsible for CRO.
- Create clear, compelling client-facing narratives that communicate what was tested, what was learned, and what is recommended next, tying insights back to revenue and unit economics.
- Over time, recruit, mentor, and lead a small team of CRO and growth product specialists, setting standards for experimentation velocity, quality, and impact.
- Collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders inside client organizations to influence roadmaps, advocate for experimentation infrastructure, and ensure alignment on funnel KPIs.
- 5–10 years of experience in growth, CRO, product, or experimentation roles, ideally in a DTC environment; healthcare and agency experience across multiple clients is a strong plus.
- Proven track record of designing and running A/B and multivariate tests that materially improved conversion rates, CAC, or LTV at meaningful scale.
- Deep understanding of landing page and funnel best practices, including offer construction, messaging hierarchy, form optimization, and mobile UX patterns that drive response.
- Strong analytical skill set; comfortable in website and funnel analytics tools (e.g. GA4, Mixpanel/Amplitude), A/B testing platforms (e.g., Optimizely, VWO), heatmapping tools (e.g. Hotjar, Heap, Crazyegg) and BI environments, with the ability to turn data into clear, testable hypotheses.
- Experience partnering closely with paid media teams and creatives to connect channel strategy, audience, and messaging with on-site and in-product experiences.
- Familiarity with experimentation statistics (sample sizing, power, significance, and false positives) and the tradeoffs between speed and rigor.
- Strong communicator who can synthesize complex data and testing results into simple, actionable recommendations for founders and non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly organized operator with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple clients, experiments, and timelines simultaneously.
- Scrappy, entrepreneurial mindset with comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous, test-and-learn environments.
- Strong copywriting, written and verbal communication skills with high EQ.
- Experience with DTC health, health and wellness, or other regulated or high-trust categories is preferred but not required.
- Work directly with Lantern's senior growth leaders while owning the CRO and growth product workstream for select high-value client accounts.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to founders and marketing leaders, helping them understand how experimentation and product-led growth drive performance and what is required to scale sustainably.
- Collaborate tightly with paid media, lifecycle, creative, analytics/data, and client partner teams to ensure cohesive, full-funnel strategies from ad to landing page through acquisition/signup.
- Build and lead Lantern's Growth Product & CRO "center of excellence", helping shape Lantern's internal experimentation culture through playbooks, processes, tools, trainings and frameworks while dramatically accelerating performance outcomes & results for our clients.
