Tawkify is the largest matchmaking dating company in the U.S., with over 1 million singles and more than 200K successfully matched couples. Their clients are paired with a dedicated matchmaker who spends time understanding what they’re looking for in a partner before starting the search for a great match. 

Tawkify came to Lantern to revamp their visual brand and messaging in order to better identify and target their ideal customer persona (ICP). Lantern also took over Tawkify’s paid marketing and began active experimentation on the website. The goal was to boost conversion rates and start bringing in more revenue at a lower CAC as soon as possible. 

Refreshed Branding to Target a More Premium Client Persona

The first thing Lantern did was use consumer research to understand Tawkify’s most resonant value propositions and barriers to purchase. This helped them hone in on Tawkify’s ICP. Once they better understood who they were targeting, Lantern evolved Tawkify’s visual brand design to reflect a more premium client target and matchmaking experience, and developed new messaging, design, and UX for all of Tawkify’s key site pages.

Next, Lantern conducted a complete audit and revamp of Google and Meta paid marketing channels. As part of this effort, the Lantern team built high performing Meta ads that leveraged matchmakers and real clients to educate audiences on the benefits of matchmaking vs. traditional dating apps, and connect them with real Tawkify success stories.

Tawkify’s highest performing Facebook ads highlight the pain point that Tawkify relieves — clients aren’t stuck endlessly swiping as they are on apps like Tinder or Hinge. They get a real matchmaker who does the searching for them in a thoughtful way.

Lantern’s full-funnel approach reduced CAC by 48%, driving 39% more clients on average every month.

More Clients for Less Money

The design and messaging that Lantern developed on Tawkify’s key site pages resulted in an immediate 34% lift in conversion rate for direct traffic.

Lantern also revamped Tawkify’s entire email capture and lifecycle series, resulting in 164% more leads captured on Tawkify’s site.

Combined with the paid marketing optimizations, Lantern’s full-funnel approach reduced CAC by 48%.
